Do you consider yourself to be a cultured and intelligent person, but still, The New Yorker makes you feel like a dumb philistine? Welcome to BLOUNT FORCE, where image and language, oddity and irreverence converge. BLOUNT FORCE is printed roughly twice a year, and is distributed through NC’s notorious, artist run, non-profit exhibition space, LUMP. Each issue takes a theme and runs with it, in all directions. BLOUNT FORCE is a paper magazine - an object, to be touched, crumpled, torn and otherwise degraded. So, you won’t find much on this website except for a plea to fill your shopping cart with the current and upcoming issues, plus a teasing sample of writing and imagery.

We do indeed take submissions, so if you have original images or writing that you think honors the spirit of the magazine, follow the breadcrumbs to the submission link.
